This was a texture study on the major mouth structures of the Canadian goose from life. I've always been interested in the laminae on the beak and the papillae along the tongue. It was very neat to get close up (without a goose trying to bite me) to examine the structures of the trachea and the esophagus - it was helpful for visualizing the intubation of the goose, so I do plan to expand this illustration eventually.
